ABOUT

Since years, I have been fascinated with nature - inner and outer. My quest has been, for as long as I've known, to try and find ways to integrate nature into our daily lives. With my undergraduate degree in architecture, I studied and explored the effect of built environment on human emotions. Now with my planning degree and experience, I'm exploring ways to reconnect daily human lives with nature via public space planning, ecological habitats protection, urban design, community placemaking, and natural and cultural resources management.

Cities have a great effect on how daily lives for people turn out to be and what their interaction patterns are. A city's built environment and planning pattern can mean a difference between mundane lives and flourishing lives of the residents. A truly flourishing life has abundant interaction with, and care for, the environment that we are feeding off of on a daily basis. In these times of technological advancement, my hope is to get people closer to the charms of nature, by designing spaces that have a built-in nature to invite people to take a walk outdoor, or just indulge in contemplation - places and corners that evoke your higher self. Hopefully this will help us collectively have a higher understanding of life and sustainability.

Oh, and I also like painting, storytelling, writing poetries, and playing ukulele during my spare times!

Over the years, sometimes for curiosity, sometimes with professional necessity, I've gathered some skills. These are all pertinent to the career path I've chosen, and are a way for me to get ready to be and make the changes I want to see in this world:
